MemberPad LLC ("MemberPad," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make our platform accessible to the widest possible audience.
1. Our Commitment
Accessibility is not a checkbox for us — it is a core design principle. We believe that creators and members with disabilities deserve a first-class experience on MemberPad. We commit to:
- Designing and developing our platform to meet recognized accessibility standards.
- Continually testing our platform with assistive technologies including screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.
- Responding promptly to accessibility feedback and remediating issues as quickly as possible.
- Training our team on accessibility best practices.
2. Conformance Standards
MemberPad targets conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the de facto standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and many other accessibility laws worldwide, including:
- Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act
- EU Web Accessibility Directive (2016/2102)
- UK Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations
- Accessible Canada Act
- EN 301 549 (European accessibility standard)
Our current conformance status is partially conformant. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. See the Known Limitations section below for current gaps and remediation timelines.
3. Accessibility Measures
To ensure that MemberPad remains accessible, we have taken the following measures:
- Accessibility is included in our internal code review process for every release.
- Our component library follows WCAG 2.1 AA patterns including ARIA roles, focus management, and keyboard navigation.
- Our color palette has been audited against the WCAG 4.5:1 minimum contrast ratio for body text and 3:1 for UI components.
- Periodic third-party accessibility audits are commissioned to identify gaps that automated testing misses.
- Accessibility-related issues are triaged with the same priority as functional bugs.
4. Accessibility Features
MemberPad includes the following accessibility features by default:
- Skip-to-content link on every page so keyboard users can bypass navigation and reach the main content directly.
- Keyboard navigation across the entire interface — every interactive element is reachable and operable using only the keyboard. Arrow keys, Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, and Escape all behave as expected.
- Screen reader support via semantic HTML, ARIA roles, accessible labels on every interactive element, and live region announcements for status changes.
- Focus management — visible focus rings on every interactive element, focus-trapping inside modal dialogs, and automatic focus restoration when dialogs close.
- High contrast text — body text meets the WCAG 4.5:1 minimum contrast ratio in both light and dark themes.
- Light and dark themes — users can choose the theme that works best for their vision in account settings.
- Resizable text — text can be resized up to 200% via browser zoom without loss of content or functionality.
- Form labels and error messages programmatically associated with their inputs so screen reader users hear field names and validation feedback in context.
- Alternative text on meaningful images; decorative images are marked as such so they don't clutter screen reader output.
- Captions and transcripts are required on all official MemberPad-published video content. Creator-uploaded video content is not yet automatically captioned (see Known Limitations).
5. Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content on MemberPad does not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We are actively working to remediate these gaps:
- Creator-uploaded content. Posts, videos, and other content uploaded by creators on the platform are not centrally controlled by MemberPad. We provide accessibility tools (alt-text fields, caption upload, formatted text) and educate creators about accessibility best practices, but we cannot guarantee that all third-party content meets WCAG standards.
- Auto-captioning of video uploads. Video transcripts are not yet auto-generated. Creators are encouraged to upload caption files (.vtt or .srt) with their videos. Auto-captioning is on our roadmap.
- Complex data tables. Some master-admin data tables may use color-only indicators in addition to text labels. We are systematically adding icon and text alternatives.
- Native mobile app. Our iOS and Android apps inherit the operating system's accessibility settings (VoiceOver, TalkBack, Dynamic Type, etc.). The web platform receives our most rigorous accessibility testing; mobile app accessibility is improving with each release.
If you encounter any other accessibility barrier, please report it using the contact details below — we'll investigate and remediate as quickly as we reasonably can.
6. Compatibility with Assistive Technology
MemberPad is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers: NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS / iOS), TalkBack (Android), Narrator (Windows).
- Browsers: Latest two versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on desktop; Safari on iOS, Chrome on Android.
- Keyboard navigation: Standard keyboard plus assistive devices that emulate keyboard input.
- Voice control: Dragon NaturallySpeaking (Windows), Voice Control (macOS / iOS), Voice Access (Android).
- Screen magnification: ZoomText, OS-level zoom, and browser zoom up to 200%.
We test against current versions of these tools. Older browser or assistive technology versions may have reduced compatibility.
7. Feedback & Reporting Issues
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of MemberPad. If you encounter accessibility barriers, please let us know:
- Email:accessibility@memberpad.com
- Support form:Contact us
When reporting an accessibility issue, please include:
- The page URL where you encountered the issue.
- A description of what you were trying to do.
- What happened versus what you expected.
- Your browser, operating system, and any assistive technology you were using (e.g. "JAWS 2024 on Windows 11 in Chrome").
We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 2 business days and to provide a substantive update on remediation within 10 business days. Critical accessibility blockers (e.g. unable to log in, unable to complete a purchase) are treated as P0 issues and addressed as soon as possible.
8. Enforcement & Legal
This statement is provided in good faith and reflects our current accessibility status. If you believe MemberPad has not addressed your accessibility concern adequately, you may have legal recourse under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508, or applicable accessibility laws in your jurisdiction. We encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve the issue directly — but you are not required to do so before pursuing other remedies.
9. Updates to This Statement
This Accessibility Statement is reviewed and updated whenever we make significant changes to the platform that affect accessibility, and at minimum annually. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision.
